How it started
Our first project in Portland was a 74-unit apartment building, 30 years later the same owner of that building has hired us twice to repaint the property. To this date we continue to work with the developer who first hired us in 1992. Oren Painting has gained the recognition and trust of homeowners and builders by providing the highest results at a fair price. No job is too small, and we do jobs as large as 320-unit water front town-homes.
Our Story
After his military service, founder Ran Shriki moved to Washington to be closer to his father. Ran held a part time job at Biomed Research Company while attending Bellevue Community College and later the University of Washington State Business School. During summer break Ran worked with a local painting company.
Ran was not new to painting, he began his painting career as a teenager when his uncle provided him with a job during holidays and summer breaks. Although he came from a financially stable family, it was not easy at times. Helping his uncle allowed Ran to have a little extra money.
On a painting project in 1991, Ran was spotted by a developer whom offered him a job in Portland, OR. Ran took the job and a year later started his own painting company and named it after his late brother, Oren.
Our Philosophy
We thrive on repeat business and word of mouth referrals. Our work has been featured in Street of Dreams Tours and in other magazines.
Ran is involved in all aspects of the business and projects insuring great results. He never forgets where he came from. Oren painting takes pride and time in donating company resources to charity projects. As well as donating to schools, families in need, and places of worship.

We certainly have the “eye” for colors, and we are familiar with all aspects of remodeling. We are a professional painting contractor with over 30 years of experience. Over the years we have gained extensive knowledge and work closely with all trades. We have gained their trust and respect as a leading painting company in Oregon and Washington.
